Inspired by Laura's 2025 Europe trip and her native homeland of France, Auberge St Remy captures a roadtrip stop travelling from Paris down south to Provence, where along one magical day, the family stopped at charming villages to explore and take in the unbelieveable scenery, culture and crisp April air.

This stop was near a Tudor village, dating back hundreds of years and where no cars were allowed. The nearest parking square was outside the town, by a picturesque ancient stone wall dividing the cars from the river. The rest of the illustration is inspired by several villages on that day travelling through the heart of France.

Each illustration will come in its raw state - unframed, archival quality watercolour paper with cotton blend on 200 or 300gsm paper (see original illustration specific listing for which paper).

Due to the delicate nature of the paper and paints, all originals are non refundable and purchases are final.

POSTAGE
Artwork will come to you on 800 gsm cardboard backing, with a clear plastic sleeve for protection. All illustrations are sent via Australia Post in a padded mailer bag for extra protection.

QUALITY ARTISAN PRODUCTS
For sustainability and in keeping with trying to use only artisan products, Laura uses A. Gallo watercolours from Assisi, Italy where the same family has been hand making these paints using traditional methods and natural ingredients such as honey and gum arabic.

Some illustrations feature heavily pigmented metallic glitters, which add extreme shimmer and shine to portions of the artwork. These special paints are handmade in Hanover, Germany.

Laura is constantly experimenting with different quality papers including cotton watercolour papers from all across the world. Your specific artwork will specify which paper is being used.
